BGCNW Elects Kevin J. Bannon as New Board President

Mount Kisco, NY – (October 14, 2011) – The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester (BGCNW) announces Kevin J. Bannon will serve as President of the Board of Directors.

Kevin Bannon is the Chief Investment Officer of Highmount Capital, a private wealth management firm in New York. He retired from the Bank of New York in 2007 after a 28-year career serving as the Bank's Chief Investment Officer from 1993-2007.

As a long-time board member and resident of Mount Kisco, Mr. Bannon has dedicated his time and resources to the Club for over twenty years.

"This is a critical time for kids," said Mr. Bannon. "I am delighted to have the opportunity to serve as President of the Board at an organization where we can continue to provide exceptional programs."

In addition to his work with BGCNW, he serves on the boards of The Hundred Year Association of New York and the S.K. Yee Foundation. Mr. Bannon holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA in Finance from the Stern School of New York University.

"As an outstanding member of the Board, Kevin has demonstrated a firm understanding of the organization," said BGCNW Executive Director, Brian Skanes. "We are certain he will continue providing his exceptional expertise in his new position."

The Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester was established in 1939 as a place for "boys to get off the streets".
