BGCNW Hosts Reunion for a Good Cause
Mount Kisco, NY – (November 29, 2011) – The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester hosted its Fifth Annual Chris Cutri Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser at Teddy's of Holiday Inn Mount Kisco. More than 150 friends of Chris Cutri and BGCNW alumni in attendance raised $5,000 for the Chris Cutri Scholarship Fund.
In 2001, BGCNW established the scholarship fund in memory of Chris Cutri. Individuals donated gifts annually to the Club in his memory, and in 2007 the Chris Cutri Scholarship Fundraising event was established. Since this time, the event has raised $35,000 towards the fund. The scholarship has distributed more than $20,000 to allow children to attend the school-age after-school program.
"It is incredible to see the same faces return each year to support the Club," said BCGNW Executive Director, Brian Skanes. "The event acts as both a reunion and a fundraiser, bringing old friends together for a good cause."
