16th Annual Golf Tournament Benefits The BGCNW

Mt. Kisco, NY (September 10, 2010) — The 16th annual golf tournament for the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester was held Tuesday, August 10th at the GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, NY. The tournament was a huge success, raising $42,000 for the Club. Proceeds generated from the tournament go directly towards the Club's programs and services. Players enjoyed a fun-filled day while supporting a great cause.
Marcela and Michael Berland were the title sponsors, accompanied by platinum sponsor Entergy, silver sponsors Cuddy & Feder LLP and McKenna Custom Homes, Inc., hole sponsors Answer Vending, Inc. and DRSW Insurance, and hole-in-one sponsors BMW Mount Kisco, the Lien Resolution Group, and Wilson & Son Jewelers.

The winner of the inaugural Boys & Girls Club Challenge was New Rochelle resident Ken Theobalds of Entergy. Ken took home the trophy for winning a "chip-off" from the ridge overlooking the 18th green.
Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, hand-rolled cigars from La Casa Grande Tobacco Company, and a tequila tasting sponsored by Mount Kisco Wines & Spirits, followed by a buffet dinner. An awards presentation took place during dinner, along with a silent auction featuring great tickets and VIP items, including the NY Knicks "Ball Kid" Experience, "Be a Radio Comedy Star for a Night" with the Howard Stern Show veteran Jackie Martling, sports tickets, golf foursomes at area courses, and more.
Brian Skanes, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester, said he is pleased with the tournament's growth. "We are so very grateful for the continuing support of our community," he said. "Participating in the tournament is a great way to contribute to a worthy cause while having fun."

The Golf Tournament Committee is chaired by Robert J. Levine and includes members: Steve Alvarado, Michael Berland, Philip Bronzi, Lou Claytor, Bruce M.
