Clubs Tenth Annual Golf Tournament Scores A Hole In One
Mount Kisco, New York (11/11/04) — The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester recently held its tenth annual Golf Tournament at the GlenArbor Golf Club, Bedford, NY. The event raised $50,000, which goes directly towards the Club's programs and annual scholarships.
Over 100 players participated in this year's tournament, which featured Hole-in-One contests sponsored by Arroway Chevrolet and JetBlue, along with longest drive and closest to the pin contests.
"We want to thank the community support — both corporate and individual — of this important fundraising event. Community involvement ensures the continuation of quality programming and enables us to meet the need for a safe, productive, and spacious place for the many youth who consider the Club 'our place' on a daily basis", said Brian Skanes, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester, Mt. Kisco, NY.
The Golf Tournament Committee was co-chaired by George Roach and Thomas R. Trotta and included members Marcela Berland, Michael Berland, Lou Claytor, Bruce Cohen, John Crabtree, John New, Todd Rockefeller, Nick Scala, and Rick Talmadge
The tournaments Corporate Sponsors were Marcela and Michael Berland. The Award Sponsor was Douglas Schoen. The Dinner Sponsor was Rick Talmadge, and the Breakfast Sponsor was Andron Construction Corporation. Presidential Sponsors included: Crabtree's Kittle House; Entergy Nuclear Northeast; GER Industries; Rick Talmadge; Trotta Contracting; USI Northeast; and W&M Properties.
