No Fumbles Here: Club's Super Bowl Phone-A-Thon Scores Record-Breaking Win —
More than $36,000 Raised For Club's Scholarship Program.
Mount Kisco, New York (February 18, 2005) — Board members, Youth Club members and volunteers engaged a different type of receiver at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester's Super Bowl Phone-a-thon. The ninth annual Phone-a-thon raised over $36,000 for the Club's scholarship program.
Chair Tom O'Brien spurred the volunteers, Board members, and youth members of the Club as they worked side-by-side for an intensive three hours calling past donors, friends and members' families.
O'Brien, who is also a Club board member, said he is proud that the Club has taken the Phone-a-thon to new heights. "I look forward to building on our success in the coming years," he said.
Curtis Instruments of Mount Kisco donated the use of their modern, new offices for the event. Stuart Marwell, Curtis Instruments chairman and Club board member, and his wife Vicki both participated in the Phone-a-thon.
Brian Skanes, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester, said the event's success can be attributed to the Club's many volunteers and supporters.
"We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Tom O'Brien, Stuart Marwell and everyone who contributed to the success of this event," he said.
