Kmart's "KartWheels for Kids" Holiday Toy Drive A Success — Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester Receives 100 Donated Toys.
The holiday season was made a little brighter for children at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester due, in part, to the generosity of shoppers at two local Kmart locations. "KartWheels for Kids," Kmart's annual holiday toy drive, collected 100 toys for members at the Clubs' three locations (Mount Kisco, Tarrytown, and Yorktown).
"We are extremely grateful to Kmart for holding this toy drive," said Brian Skanes, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester. "So many of the kids we serve would not have received a toy for the holidays otherwise."
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester visited the Kmart Stores located in Yorktown Heights (355 Downing Drive) and Mahopac (987 Route 6) each week in December to collect toys donated by holiday shoppers. Donated toys were then distributed to children at the Clubs' Holiday Party.
