Club's Eleventh Annual Golf Tournament Scores A Hole In One.
Mount Kisco, New York (October 6, 2005) — The Boys and Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester recently held its eleventh annual Golf Tournament at GlenArbor Golf Club, Bedford, NY. The event raised $76,000, which goes directly towards the Club's programs and annual scholarships.
Nearly 100 players participated in this year's tournament, which featured Hole-in-One contests sponsored by Marcela and Michael Berland, Arroway Chevrolet and JetBlue, along with longest drive and closest to the pin contests.
"We want to thank the community for its support — both corporate and individual — of this essential fundraising event. Community involvement ensures the continuation of quality programs and enables us to provide a safe and productive atmosphere for our many Club members," said Brian Skanes, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester, Mt. Kisco, NY.
The Golf Tournament Committee was co-chaired by George Roach (of Pound Ridge) and Thomas R. Trotta (of Mt. Kisco) and included members Marcela and Michael Berland (of Waccabuc), Lou Claytor (of Katonah), Bruce Cohen (of Mt. Kisco), John Crabtree (of Pound Ridge), John New (of Bedford), Todd Rockefeller (of Ridgefield, CT), Nick Scala (of Danbury, CT), and Rick Talmadge (of Bedford Hills).
The Event Sponsors were Marcela and Michael Berland. The Award Sponsor was Todd Rockefeller, DRSW Insurance. Corporate Hole Sponsors included: BP, Polly Flinn, US Convenience Operations, The Brown Family, Ripple Foundation and USI Northeast. Hole Sponsors included: Duane Baughman, Crabtree's Kittle House, Sam Rosenblatt - Olmstead Properties, Inc. and Take2 Interactive. Prize Sponsors included: Bank of America, Fairview Golf Center, Jet Blue, Nike Golf, Pro Golf Discount, Saxon Woods Golf Shop, Sprain Lake Golf Shop, and Trotta Contracting Inc.
