Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester Hosts Battle of the Bands Fundraising Event

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester's Yorktown Teen Center recently hosted a Battle of the Bands at the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center. The event, presented by the Center's Keystone Club, raised over $300 to help support their community service and charitable works, such as the Hiefer Foundation and Breast Cancer Walk, among others. Over 100 teens attended the Battle of the Bands event, which featured six local teen bands (pictured above: Elevators to the Sky).

The Yorktown Center was established September 1997 and serves Yorktown and its surrounding communities. Although it was originally established to serve high school youth, widespread community interest and support enabled the Center to also include the middle school population.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Westchester's Yorktown Teen Center is located at the Yorktown Community and Cultural Center, 1974 Commerce Street, Yorktown Heights, NY and can be reached at (914) 962-3439 or www.boysandgirlsclubnw.org.
